The town square

The whole area is surrounded by middle - class houses dating from 17th - 19th century. The houses were built in pseudo-baroque, pseudo-renaissance and pseudo-gothic style. 
In its south-western side there is a well-preserved archway the pavements of which are laid with pebbles.
Other interesting sights: a column of Virgin Mary o St. john Nepomucky´s statue o St. Florian´s statue o an old stone well with Nephtun

Town hall

This neo-romantic building built in 1891 dominates the square.
In the front you can see a sand-stone symbol of the town – St. Martin – and relieves of J. A. Komensky, J. Jungman, F. Palacky and B. Jablonsky. 
In the hall there is an original statue of Slavonic scholars – the brothers Cyril and Method, Radegast and others {by A. Polasek}, a relief called “Economy” {by J. Knebl and a tablet in memory of the victims of WW2.
Outside on the wall of the building you can notice a tablet commemorating our outstanding Olympic champion in ski-jumping Jiri Raska – born in frenstat {by K. Vasut}
